Kristin McMillan is president and CEO of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, the largest business organization in Nevada. McMillan leads the strategic direction and operations of the Chamber, overseeing initiatives to support business and strengthen the local economy. As a lawyer by training and a businesswoman by experience, McMillan has been extensively involved in business and community leadership during her 22 years as a resident of Southern Nevada.
McMillan began her career as an attorney and built a successful practice focusing on regulatory issues including telecommunications, energy and transportation. In addition to practicing law, she gained nearly ten years’ experience in executive law firm management, six years as the managing shareholder of a statewide Nevada law firm.
McMillan served as the 2010 Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Las Vegas Chamber and has served in board capacities with the Nevada Development Authority, the Nevada Taxpayers Association, the Desert Research Institute Foundation and the United Way of Southern Nevada. She currently serves as a board member of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow (FIT), and is a member of the Nevada International Women’s Forum and the Advisory Council of the Clark County School District School-Community Partnership Program.
McMillan is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors of Science degree and earned her law degree and M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
